Green Workspace for Creative Businesses
Based on a former industrial site within a residential area, this hub for creative industries is being developed as part of the initiative to creative space within Sheffield's neighbourhoods.
The scheme is designed to be a place for creative businesses to move from their front rooms and or grow. Central to this scheme is the creation of place for people to meet and do business and so has a courtyard design with external walkways that serve each business unit.
Workspaces will be distinctive with north light, timber finishes and a wide range of shapes and sizes. Each unit is accessed by a stair and walkway with a lift at the heart of the courtyard. The roofs act as solar collectors and green technologies have been integrated into the scheme from its inception.
Funding approval for this scheme is at an advanced stage.
