Ask Them What They Want
This design involved a programme of consultation with young people during the summer of 2008 to generate ideas for a new place for young people across the city.
Conceived as an open foyer with dance studio and gym, there were support projects with consultation rooms within the building which allowed young people to seek help with anonymity.
The proposal replaced a disused bank and was designed to complete a public space which is bounded by community facilities.
Altough this outline design was a detailed response to the aspirations of young people in the city, the funding bid for this project was unsuccessful.
