Green connections
This former Sheffield Board School was left without a use when the housing market collapsed. Working with Heeley Development Trust we designed a masterplan which demonstrated the significance of reusing the listed buildings into a community hub which will contribute to the regeneration of the wider area.
The former school is enclosed by a retaining wall which is listed. The masterplan highlights important connections to the park, transport and entrances. These inform the strategy for breaching the wall and the alterations needed to make sense of the three buildings on the site.
